Hey girls!
Beside all the shit-weather-thing (there is no wrong weather, there are only wrong clothes): Yesterday I destroyed my computer, I was really almost crying, not only that I LOVE my computer, but I really need it in the moment. I asked different computer specialists, always: to repair it:500€, only to save all your files (My diploma thesis!!!) 40€. Do it, do it, DO IT! My brother came yesterday immediatly with the second computer of my father, thank God!
Last week I went to the region I write my thesis about and I passed by Potsdam and visited Kristina. It was really nice and we cooked Greek and watched a movie of Patrick about this ridicolous parade on Oxi-Day... So funny! It was really nice to see Kristina again!
Don't go too mad with the weather, the spring will come soon, believe me (and I am a Geographer!!!)!

I'm a bit jealous for you, Geli, of passing your almost-last exam. I'm spending my days at a library now, studying for the biggest exam of my studies.
It was really sunny here yesterday and also my balcony was warm! I think that the snow starts to melt now, at least it should!!!
I'm wishing sunny, warm (--> no snow) days to all of you!
Eleni - 27. Feb, 11:57
hey girls... I can tell you.. by now I really hate this freezing weather here. about 10 days ago, suddenly the winter stopped, it had 38° on my balcony (at least the temperature-measuring-thing showed it. really!!!) and now... -3° again! and snow and ice on the car in the morning and frozen fingers and thick jackets and and and... disgusting!
Where is S P R I N G???? I want the sun!
besides... I have passed a really important exam!! I'm magistra !!!! (at least nearly!).. because there is one little fuzi mini exam I still have to take... ach, it's really cool!
"Mag. iur. Geli K" sounds good, isn't it? :)
So, how are you all? What's going on? Do we already have a place/time when to go to ellada?
kisses!
Me, I don't mind when we go to Greece. I think, I cancelled the Guatemala-staff. I have no money, but for a trip to Greece... somehow I can afford it, I think! Especially in September, till then I can save some money!
And so I can go somewhere for a weekend-trip in May, also great! I WANNA go to Dublin! And I hope that I finished my thesis then...
Ok, but where to go? Of course I would like to go to Crete, cause I haven't been there yet, but I think I would prefer it to go to Zakonthos or another nice island... there are so many I haven't been yet! What do you think?
Ybovvn - 31. Jan, 09:23
good to hear that you are not tooo bad, eleni! I was really shocked for some time! get well soon!
And you too, Yvonni... get well soon!
Well, where to go is a good question... I have been in Krete last summer and I have to say I was not so delighted. I mean it was really nice to be back in grecce, to hear the music, to eat masses of greek food and drink retsina ... mhhhh.. :) But this island is crossed by huge mountains!!! and everytime we came to a beach I tought.. well, nice BUT I've already seen nicer ones somerwhere else in greece. And the villages... ? Don't know... soso lala... but not WOW!!!
But ok, stop now. I mean we have only been to the western side of the island and hey, its greece... so anyway, it's beautiful! ;)
But if we also think about another destination ... what about Zakinthos? I like all the nice postcards with the stranded boat!
Yes, and I talked with Anna on the phone this evening. She will have her big big exam in August, this Staatsexamen-thing, for which she studied already since last summer.
So for her it would be great if we would go some time after that.. so September. What do you think about that?
Wish you a great weekend, girls!
Kisses
Hey girls!
This morning I finally went to my doctor and... now I have to take antibiotics! Since weeks I am sick, more or less, and now it is so bad, that I can't work (NO MONEY!) and can't really work on my thesis because of the headache! Great!
So I need sun! Or at least some memories or thoughts of it! Aaaah! So nice!
I also don't know if I can afford it and -more important- if I finished my thesis then, but I think we should think of end of May! Yeah! Thanks for the good feeling ;)!

The idea of going to Greece sounds really good to me too. I just can't say anything yet because I don't know if I'll have any money :( For how long would you like to stay there? 10 days? 2 weeks? And where, in Crete? If we want to make it cheap it would be best to go there off-season. So, IF I can make it, the end of may would be good to me too. But sorry, I think that I will only know it in March/April if I can afford it or not. Of course I could work more to save some money but then I should pay back my student money and it doesn't really make sense.
p.s. Geli, don't worry, my radioactivity was not an accident. I got radioactive iodine as a treatment for my tyroid problem. So far I'm feeling well!
Eleni - 26. Jan, 11:54
Hej!
You know what? 1 week ago I put only Greek songs on my Mp3-player, so I'm walking around in cold Vienna listening to Greek music - really nice!!!
May sounds good. Actually I don't really have to be in Greece when it's soooo hot (like in August). I think I got used to the Scandianavian summers - 25 degrees were considered as a heat wave - so nice, no sweating and no shivering (like right now - brrr).

Hey.. I have just been to a greek restaurant together with thomas... mmmh, really lecker! but now I'm completly stuffed. Can't move any more. So I went home and instead of going back to my books (stuying with a full belly doesn't work anyway), I put in a CD of Pegy Zina (no idea how to write this).... and.. it's soo nice. :) have you been listening to greek music in the last time? Me, no. But it still puts a big smiiile on my face. Just try! :)
Kisses
Guatemala? Sounds great as well!
... end of May for greece is completly ok for me....
Good luck with your thesis, Yvonni! Courage!
Morning girls!
I told Jutta already yesterday: I have the possibility of going to Guatemala for 3 month in the end of July, beginning of August. But I have to apply, so I on't know yet. But, of course, I would prefer it to go to Greece with you! Hornestly!
I am still planning of finishing my thesis in the end of April (everybody laughs about me!!!), so I would suggest perhaps the end of May? It is also out of season, more or less, so quite relaxing. And Geli: Thanks for the nice memory, was really good for my mood :)!
Have a nice day,
Yvonni
Eleni, are you still taking you medicine? Wish you the best that it works!!!
Ybovvn - 25. Jan, 09:27
hey girls...
I think I missed something!!.. eleni, why are you radioctive??? how can this happen? accident in the pharmacie? how are you?
I'm in the last phase of studiing for my -hopefully- last big exam at the moment. The exam is on thursday, so in 2 days and I really don't know anymore what to read. I have about 5 books, 3 skripts, 4 laws and thousands of confuse sheets of paper which I COULD ready... but ok, what sense does it make now? I can never ever read all this now again (or in some cases for the first time!!), so I read a bit here and there and more or less only wait for thursday.
and for the weather-statistics... here it is about -15° since yesterday. but in some places in austria there were -29° last night!!!! amazing, hm? nearly like in Russia.
well, I hope I can do soemthing for the mood of all of us....
girls, do you remember our nice litte dream, the sound of waves when they roll against the beach, the smell of olive-trees in the hot summer... you remember that we wanted to do a nice little trip some time ago?
What do you think.. can we do this this summer? PLAESE!!!
Would be so nice to hang out all together again.
And when do you wanna go? - in May/June, where it is sooo nice and green everywhere, in July/August, where we can party together with thousands of tourists day and night... or maybe in september, where it has cooled down again a bit...
whatever you like!
Girls, say something! :)
Kisses
Ok, this morning my mood was excellent, then I went to uni, my mood was still excellent -although it is also really cold here (ok, only -5 degrees). Then I went to the library and back home and my mood is horrible and I also got head-ache! Damned!
My thesis are getting well, but now I realised that I have to work on a part of my theme I don't really like. And then Schatzi called -he is sick and has also in a really bad mood!- and I don't know, but that was too much. So now I am thinking of only working on my puzzle. This is so relaxing ... aaaah! Life is not easy! What a pitty ;)!
Ybovvn - 24. Jan, 14:41
Hej hej!
I'm fine, still "relaxing", but actually it gets a little bit on my nerves right now and I hope that I'll find a phd soon, but I'm planing to send so many applications this week, that I should get something until the end of February (at least I want to know what and where I'll go because then I would have time to go on holiday). And probably by then I'll be near to you Eleni, because Scandinavia and Finland (since I know that it actually doesn't belong to Scandinavia) offer most of the EU phd programmes.
As I'm doing nothing but sports and reading and going out, there's not much to tell (and actually I have a severe hang-over from yesterday, so I'm not able to do and tell a lot today, at least nothing reasonable), but I wanted to say "hi" to you and especially to the socially isolated Eleni - I hope you being radioactive is worth and that everything will be ok soon!
