Winter is coming...

Congratulations, Geli, so hopefully you can join our community much more often :)!

I should be quite busy in the moment because of working on my thesis, but -like usual- you can find a lot of stuff to do. So today I moved all my furniture to a new place, cleaned the whole room and brought all rubbish outside to the bins. Yeah, great, and now there are only two hours left till I go to the erasmus-Party (I am in the organization team and we have to meet a BIT earlier to prepare everything, and we are also lucky cause we can stay till the end cause we have also to clean everything afterwards :(! And I have to work tomorrow at 9h!!!!), so in this two hours it is not worth to start anything ;)!

Puh, we just had a lot of cake I think I have to go to bed a bit, no work possible! Wish you a nice rest-day (was it also holiday in your countries??? Probably not in Finland, cause it is a katholic thing...!?!).
Yvonni

Ah, Eleni: Ähem, in the moment we are already 3 people who are coming in December. I hope it won't be a problem, otherwise we can go to a hostel or something...!

*ggggg*

hey girls! I'm soooo happy! finally I managed to get internet in my new flat. wow, was not so easy, but it's a great feeling now. :)
Sorry Yvonni, but I did'n get your message. what's a chaplet?

well, I remembered that I never told you about summer holidays finally. You know that Anna and me made a trip round spain for about two weeks. we started in barcelona, which was mostly packed by sight seeing and a bit of shopping. we also got to know some brazilian people and joined them at a south-american party, which was really cool because there where 2 boys playing guitar and singing all those brazilian songs which henri showed us.... yes :), also THE song! :). after barcelona we headed north to zaragoza and then to the northern coast, san sebastian, bilbao and also to the "la rioja" vine-area. you can imagine what we did there. :) in Bilbao we also met Henri for some days. It was really nice because if you are making holiday only 2 people, anna and me, after some time you get a bit lazy and so. and as we all now henri is everything but lazy, so iT's been really great and fun. But I have to say that finally I was a bit disappointed by the spanish night life. the big party-people-nation, as I imagined it, is not so active in the north. unfortunately, but still it was great fun, and paella (?) is really gooooood! :)
After this trip with Anna I have only been at home some days and then Thomas holidays started. First we wanted to go somewhere within Austria, but then the weather was so shitty that we asked at a last-minute-agency 2 days before departure what they can offer us in an area where it's nice.... well finally they only had krete left. first I wasn't very sure if this is a good idea because we are planning to go there next summer, but the I thought... Greece, well cannot be so wrong. ;) And it was really nice. To hear greek language again, eat nice greek food and go to the sea... NIIIIICE! We also met the Erasmus-guy who has been in vienna for one semester and who lives in heraklio. nice, nice.... and yes, there I tried to make a pool again, like Yvonni and me did it in ... was it on Peloponissos? but as you could seen my one was really small.
well, at least now I know already some things about the island for our trip in summer... also if it's only about the west coast, because if you are driving this island, it's really huge and mountains everywhere. we managed only to make half of it in one week and we've been really driving a lot!! well, we'll see. I'm really looking forward to go on holiday with all of you again. :)

Kisses, paidia

25 ... NEVER!

Yesterday I went to a 25th anniversary of a good friend of mine, we did a package chaplet (???) and drunk a lot. Now I become a bit nervous how my 25th birthday will become! I don't really care about the age, but for sure I care about the whole "traditional" stuff like the chaplet and so on...
I think I won't be here... Perhaps we can plan some holidays for the 30th April ;)!

Thanks girls...

...for all your congratulations and get well soon Eleni (I learned some thinks about hyperthyredosis in school, I think it'll be ok, wish you the best!!!).
I partied a little bit but actually I didn't really recognize it by now, but I hope it'll come some day. At least I can't remember how much champagne I drank (drink drank drunk). And actually I'm already drunk right now and I have to drink more, because my best friend had her last exam today!

Balkan-Beers....!

balkan-bier

Vergina DORO

Hey Eleni, get well soon! Ok, you have still 2 months left, but still: I wanna have a healthy happy Eleni!!!

What I forgot to tell you (I just remembered when I read Gelis story): When we were in Saloniki on our way back to the parking space (at Kastro, and we had over 30°!!!!!!!!!!) we passed by Masoutis and bought some stuff, and they had still the offer: buy one Vergina beer, get the second DORO! You remember our great Vergina shopping once? At least this time we didn't need these small papers... But still, everybody bought it and was fascinated about the great Greek DORO-thing! Even I have to say.... Vergina beer is the last shit :)!

Kalinichta koritsia!

also from me...

...congratulations! I must say that I'm jealous.

I was diagnosed a disorder of thyroid gland last week. My thyroid gland is hyperfuctioning and that's why I've lost weight and my pulse is 85 all the time. On thursday I'll hear what kind of treatment I'll get. Last week I was feeling low because of that but now it's ok. Now I've also caught a flue and that's what annoyes me now :(

yeah! yeah! yeah!

hey jutti! also from me.... congratulations! you are the best!!! :) sorry, I checked my e-mails too late and didn't see your invitation. ups! but anyway, we have to go for a drink this week or the next, if you are already booked out for the next days. ;)
hey, I can tell you... since some days I'm really getting melancholic again... I have flashbacks of greece... and I really would like to be there again.. at least for some days. Yvonni, I'm jelaous that you've been in Saloniki. I also wanna walk around on aristotelou, take a coffee in a games-café, go shopping to masoutis to get great doros :), go to leski and get my nearly cold food out of a strange hole, take a crepa with chocolate and fraules on navarinou.... mmmmmhhh! and even go to one of the stupid vassilissis-parties and get completly drunk in this disgusting kitchen...
well, I better stop now. ;)

Congratulation

Hey Jutti!

I don't know if you have time to check the stories here (cause of parties, drinking and so on :)!), but I'll try!
Congratulations, now you are unemployed (no, just a geographer-joke, yeah, yeah, the funny geographers...)! Hope you found some people to make party!

Here it is like wintersleep. Ok, cause everybody is working of his theses or is preparing for an exam! I should do the same,..... But in the moment I fall back into the erasmus mood, yesterday we had a city rallye, was quite funny, the people of the erasmus team are really nice. But I have to be careful not be involved so much, cause I really wanna start with my theses next week (at least some researches), and erasmus people are a bit exhausting, I guess...

Have a nice Sunday!
Yvonni

I did it!

My last exam is over and I'm finished for good with my studies!!!!
But now I'm totally exhausted, but I think I have to party, at least, I invited some people, before I wasn't that exhausted. Anyway, I'm done with university - jippiiiieeeehhh!!!!!!!

Walk through the autumn

True, true, Eleni, it is wonderful to walk around when the weather is like this. I become also a fan of it! Especially my bike is broken and I lost my bus-ticket, so more time to enjoy the beautiful weather and the nice scenery. We have also a lot of sun (even it is quite fresh, was a bit heard, cause on the ferry we had around 30°!).

And now hard life is starting. I have to start with my theses, even first I have to finish a script about the excursion, perhaps I get a job today... It is a bit exhausting, especially in the moment I really need a break. But perhaps it is the best for me to be busy all the time so I don't have to think about the excursion and so on!
And Eleni: More or less only 2 months and I will be there! I hope you ordered a lot of snow already :)!

helloooo

Nice to have you back, Yvonne. So, how was Thessaloniki? Anything new? Are the girls still wearing pink? Don't cry, instead of that you can start planning of your holiday in Helsinki!

Jutti, do you mean forest berries? At least it exists. I also went to IKEA last week but I didn't buy anything.

Most of the leaves of the trees are yellow here and I like it! The weather has been extremely warm and today I picked a bunch of flowers, which it normally impossible in October. I like the green house effect, let's destroy the rest of the ozone so eleni won't get cold :)

...

Kalimera, Mädels (let's be international today!)!

So, I am back to life, and it is horrible! After Saloniki I had my time at Lesvos to regenerate myself, but this time is missing now... So I could cry the whole time about the end of my excursion! Horrible! It was the such a cool time!

To make a small summary: People: supergreat, Countries: superextreme, but also superbeautiful (especially the landscape of Albania!), the rest: superfantastic!
And Saloniki was also really great. Don't worry to go back there once, it is really worth to go there. My guided tour was shit, cause I did it with our teacher (who is Greek) and he did the most (cause I was only running around with a biiiiig smile in my face). And everybody enjoyed it so much, cause they saw how my I enjoyed it. Even -really- the tour was so shitty :)!
The rest of our time in Greece was extremly rainy, but we drunk a lot of Ouzo (I miss two evenings..., and normally this never happens to me!), went every evening to a taverna, went swimming several times... Our best evening was at Kerkini Lake... puh, so drunken :)!

Should be everything by now, I mean, I could write pages, but enough for now.
Filakia Yvonni

P.S.: I am sorry, that I didn't read your stories till now, but it is too much for me in the moment! But congretulations for your moving-together, Eleni!
