Sweden, Sweden, Sweden
Hi girls!
After some stressful days (with the climax on Friday with 12 hours lab - bäh!) finally I have time to answer your questions Eleni.
I'll fly to Sweden on the 1st of June, this was the cheapest one - forth and back for 210 Euro. So probably I'll start to work already on Thursday the 2nd for 8 weeks. Actually I wanted to start on Monday the 6th, but it's national holiday in Sweden.
The good thing, living is for free!!! And even better I'll earn quite a lot of money, my future boss wrote it so funny - don't think that you'll become rich, the salary is around 1700 Euro minus 25 % tax (and this is very good in my opinion). Tomorrow a guy (finally we get some men there, and he's good looking as well and has a really nice girlfriend *g*, well I know him, because it's the brother of a friend of mine, actually Canada-Christoph) will start to work in our lab for one month and 400 Euro and he wasn't the only one applying for this job.
Anyway, I'll work with a project concerning effluent treatment and I think this could be really interesting. At least I hope so.
When I'll be there I'll start planning to go to Finland. In all my travel guides (by now I have three, I can't decide...) they write that life almost stops for three days on midsummer weekend, Saturday and Sunday is clear, but which is the third one? So I'll book as soon as I know how long I have to work on Fridays. Yesterday I found Pori on a map, it's quite close to Turku (or is it just because I think in Austrian dimensions, you know, when Austria is alone on a map, all the things seem to be far away but they are very close, because our country is so small) and the ferry there is also cheaper, we'll see how I'll get there, at least flying from Sundsvall to Stockholm is quite cheap with 33 Euro.
As you can see, all my mind is full with Sweden (and a little bit with my laptop which doesn't work anymore and I haven't made back-ups from all my data and I depserately hope that I still have garanty and that they won't delete these things during repair).
