Done!

Good morning girls!
So now my timetable's clear: arriving on the 24th in Turku at 8:45, leavin on the 26th from Helsinki at 21:50 (I already booked it yesterday, I thought, that it wouldn't be a problem and otherwise I'll walk around Helsinki on my own, no problem).
So see you on on the 24th in Pori somewhen around 12:45 (I hope, you'll be already there by then!!!).
Filakia, Jutta

PS: Yvonni I can offer you the opportunity of coming to Vienna again, somewhen in November or December will be my end-of-studies-party and the last time I looked it up I found Cologne-Vienna for 7 euro not bad not bad, it's more expensive to go from Vienna airport to Vienna city :-)
Of course all the others are invinted as well, I'll probabaly know the exact date at the end of september.

...

And yes, Jutti, you can stay in Helsinki as long as you want! :)

Timetables

Yes, there are buses from Turku to Pori, the best one for you, Jutti, would be one that leaves from Turku bus station 10:30 and it's in Pori 12:45. From the airport you can go to the centre of Turku with bus number 1. It goes 3 times/hour and it's 22mins trip. Here's how to walk from Kauppatori (that's where the bus 1 leaves you) to the bus station in Turku: Pass the church, then turn right to Mariankatu, then turn left to Aninkaistenkatu. The bus station is Aninkaistenkatu 20, it's at the end of the street on the left side.
If you want to see the map/timetables of Turku, this is the address: www.turku.fi. (also in English).

Geli, do you remember when Anna will come here? on Tuesday on Wednesday? I have a bad memory.

Now I'm in a hurry, but see you soon!

The 1st flight is booked!

Ok, new plan, I'll be at Turku Airport on Friday the 24th at 8:45 am, so I guess there'll be a bus connection to Pori during the day.
Second question: what would you say Eleni, if I stayed with you in Helsinki until 21:50 in the evening, this would be the last chance to get a flight and bus home (Sundsvall at 3:20 and working on Monday - popo). I think it could be nice and it would be also 30 euro cheaper!! What do you say, tell me as soon as possible, so I can book the flight.

Going to Finland

Hi!

Eleni could you please check, if I arrived at Tampere Airport at 15:25 on Friday the 24th, would there be still a bus to Pori??? I think I should book soon!

Long, long time...

...ago, I wrote the last post here, but I am really busy in the moment, not because of university-stuff (hahahaha!), it is leisure-stress! So it is quite nice and I enjoy it!
I think, this week it is the big party in Finland, right? I will think of you and I am happy that I will have also a lot of parties as well here in Münster.
Whenever you are thinking of going to Crete or Spain, Geli, I think it is a bit difficult this year. The whole of September I will be on my excursion (in the last days I really enjoying working on my guided tour through Saloniki, so many interesting things about this town...), and before I think it is quite important that I work a bit. So this will be in the whole of August and end of July. And the semester will end in the end of July, but afterwards, cause I finish my courses and so on, and there is money left: I think I would like to go somewhere to meet you! If it is ok, when it is a bit spontanous...!?!?!

1st message from Sweden

Hi girls! Ti kanete???

In a way I'm glad, that it's raining in Finland as well because I start to get a little bit depressed, 30 degrees when I left Austria and now 10.6, but the thermometer on the kitchen window is showing approx. 2 degress too much.
But still Sweden is fine! The people are nice, although sometimes I feel a little bit shitty, that I don't know anz word in Swedish (ok, I know some things just like "hello, how are you"). My flat is also quite nice, lots of IKEA and even more since yesterday where I finally found the bus going there... I spend quite a lot of time with one of my flatmates, Patricia, there's also a couple living here, but they prefer to be a little bit seperated.
So I already worked for 2 days now and tomorrow will be free! National holiday and I was the only one who knew what it is all about... They were kind of surprised that I know why we have the Austrian national day, because in Sweden they celebrate it now for the first time.
One thing that really sucks is, that my wireless LAN doesn't work, while Patricia's does. So I can't use my laptop.

Geli is right, I don't think that I can go to Kriti this year. I'll be back in Austria at the 4th of August and I want to be finished with all my stuff (including the writing of an approx. 100 pages thesis in English) on the 21st of September, so not too much time. But I would really appreciate if we did this trip next year, hopefully Yvonni will have more money by then too.

Ok, that's it from me now, I have to go shopping, because tomorrow everything will be closed (I'm already used to the fact that I can go shopping almost everytime).

And one very last thing I have a guest bed in my room, so if anyone of you (especially the crazy travelling girls) wants to come to Sundsvall, you're very welcome!

spain? krete?

well in fact I fear that this let's-go-all-together-to-krete-this-summer will finally not work out this year. As far as I know Jutta is not planning to go to greece this summer but working for her diploma instead after coming back form sweden and yvonni, you said this year it doesn't look so good with the money, true?
Or am I talking bullshit?
Well, so what about changing our (all together) krete-plans to next year and do something else instead, at least the ones who have time and want?

Wednesday, 1. June 2005

ti lete tora :)

so do you think that we should go to spain instead of crete? or do you want to travel to both? I want to go to Greece!!!!!
I'm having a day off today. Yesterday I finished my last homework for uni and tomorrow I'll start working 5 days/week. I was thinking of spending the day outside but shit: it's raining! But yesterday we went to IKEA and I bought some baking diskes so perhaps I'll make a cake now.

Have a nice (sunny&hot) day, girls!

Crazy girls...

Geli, you are crazy, really! Only travelling around...! Really, it would be nice to meet, especially for Party in Spain, but: I really don't have any money this year, perhaps after my excursion there will be some money left, but in the moment: problem is that I can't really find a good job, so I work a bit there and a bit there, but finally there is not so much left in the end of the month. And so my plan is to work from middle of july till end of august. Why do you want to travel so much THIS year. *schnief*

espania??

hola! well, ok I don't speak any spanish but whatever... I'm sure the country is beautiful and crazy, so Anna had the idea that it would be a nice thing to go there this summer (middle till end of july)... What do you think, girls? in spanish mood? Please!! Let's go there all together, as fas as possible!!
Jutta, I fear you will still be in Sweden at that time, true? Maybe a second short break from work?? And Eleni, Yvonni, what do you think? crazy nights in Barcelona and at the spanish coast? doesn't that sound goooooood?
Well, would be great I think if it would work out! Think about it!! :)

Kisses

Marillenknödel

Bonjour, mes amies!

I will meet my french tandem soon, so I have to improve :)!
I just watched at the channel arte a documentation about making and eating Marillenknödel. It was crazy to think about how we were eating Juttas and Gelis!
We still have almost 35°, the weekend was really horrible (ether it is too hot or it is too cold, shitty German weather!), yesterday I did almost nothing cause it was too hot and I didn't want to go out cause I had a bad, bad sun burn on my shoulders from Friday. At least the parties at the Port Festival which is now at the port in Münster are really nice in the evening. Back to: German students drink to much! I am really happy that it will end today... But it is quite cool, hanging around at the channel in Münster, drinking cold beer, listening to Reggae-music (or stuff like this!)... And temperatures till 35°. This is summer feeling!

Ellada! Ellada!

hey girls! I also didn't watch the show on saturday, I only saw like the 20 last minutes of the counting (12 ponits go to... greece!!!), and then I heard the greek song at the end. I have to confess, that I don't really think it's good and (even if I didn't saw the rest of the performences), I don't get it why they won, but still.... I'm happy for ellada! I was sitting in front of the TV with a big smile, wishing that I would be in greece at the moment to be in the middle of a crazy party
(like when they won the WM).... NICE! :)
Finally I also got a new mobile, but it's shit! It's ERICSON and it already wasn't working properly on the first day!!! Eleni, I think I'm gonna take a nokia next time. It stands for quality, isn't it? ;)
Hey, I'm really looking foward to the next months!! It's getting warmer and warmer... I have already been swimming in an outdoor-pool last week!! but ok, the water was freezing!
then we are going to finland, after coming back I'm moving to another flat in the beginning of july, maybe a trip to spain and greece in summer.... OREIA!!!

send you kisses!!

Woke up at 7!

Huhu girlies :)!

Yeah, I am already 2 1/2 h awake! Reason: I wanted to donate blood this morning (appointment at 8), but my FE-content is a bit shitty, so I got a lot of tablets and when the package is empty I can come again!

Back to the drinking habits of students: But do you really think that we drink so much more than normal people. Ok, a bit, but I now a lot of working people: When they drink they drink really excessive and not wine and beer like we do, but vodka, Jägermeister and such stuff. So we drink perhaps more (liters), but we drink healthier (???), ..... I hope :)!

Midsummer again

Just wanted to tell you that now it's for sure that I don't have to work 22.6-26.6. So, now I can be Geli's and Anna's Helsinki-guide 24 h!!! Let's hope that Jutta can find out the best (&earliest) way to come here. Yvonne: Is it really for sure now that you can't come? That would be sad, we need you here!

Drinking...

Hi girls!

Don't worry Yvonni, it happend to Austria already several times, that we became the last. I didn't see the show, I was in the theatre (in the big "Burgtheater" for the first time since I'm in Vienna - shame on me!!!). But I read that Germany made a quite bad performance and I can imagine that there was a big party in Greece.

Austrian Students drink too much as well!!! Right now I think I even drink more than in Greece, because we always go to places in Austria where wine is really cheap and I'm in a real wine mood right now. After this weekend, an election party tomorrow evening, my fare-well-grilling on Wednesday, saying good-bye to my friends at home over the weekend, I'm really looking forward to the expensive alcohol in Sweden, because I'm drinking much too much for sure!!! I mean, yesterday we were sitting at a "Heurigen" near Krems and we couldn't understand the notes of the waiter (perhaps because we drank too much *g*), but we really believed that we 9 drank 12 litres of wine, at least we were just a little bit surprised. In the end there were only 7 litres on the bill - thank god! Friday was the same thing: we visited the Zotter chocolate manufacturer (do you remember I bought one that you tasted in Geli's place after breakfast). We could taste all the chocolates (over 60!) and from 3 pm on we started to drink even cheaper alcohol than yesterday, it was great, in the end we payed 7 Euro for eating and drinking like in a cheap taverna.

Ok that's it from my drinking episodes, I should really start to study and there's also a lot to do during my last 3 lab-days.

Embarrassing, embarrassing

Hey girls!

Probably you didn't see the Song Contest on Saturday, but: You missed something. Germany was only embarrassing, cause we lost totally, but Greece won, they were really good! Aliki said, there was a buig party - as you can imagine!

Ah, and she said, it was the name day of Kostas and Eleni on the weekend, so Helena: Xronia Polla!!!
